Red Packets on Base Terms and Conditions
Last updated: February 2026
The Red Packets on Base program (“Program”) allows users to create and claim digital “red packets” containing USDC on the Base Chain. By accessing the Program, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must cease use of the Program immediately.
How to Create a Red Packet
- Sign In and Connect: Land on the homepage and sign in using Twitter/X (OAuth 2.0). Connect a compatible wallet (e.g., Coinbase Wallet).
- Configure Your Packet: Navigate to the create page and set your parameters:
- Total Amount: Deposit between $0.01 and $2,000.00 USDC.
- Recipients: Choose between 1 and 200 total claims.
- Split Type: Select either an equal split or a random split (bounded between 20% and 200% of the average share).
- Expiration: Choose an expiration window of 1h, 6h, 12h, or 24h.
- Finalize On-Chain: Approve the USDC spending and submit the transaction to the smart contract.
- Share Your Link: Once created, you will receive a unique link or 8-character short code to share on X or copy directly.
How to Redeem a Reward
- Access the Link: Click a shared Program link to view the packet info.
- Open and Authenticate: Tap to open the packet. If prompted, sign in with Twitter/X and connect your wallet.
- Eligibility Check: Your Twitter/X account must be at least 180 days old with a minimum of 100 followers to qualify. This can be variable as the Creator of the Red Packet has the ownership to adjust this at their discretion.
- Claim Your USDC: After passing verification, submit the claim transaction to the smart contract. Each unique Twitter account and wallet address may claim a specific packet only once with a max of claiming 5 specific packets in a 24 hour period.
How to Withdraw Remaining Funds (Refunds)
- Check Status: Navigate to “My Packets” to view the progress of your created packets.
- Initiate Refund: For any packet with a remaining balance that has reached its expiration time, click the “Withdraw” button.
- Close the Packet: Submit the refund transaction to the smart contract to transfer remaining USDC back to your wallet. Once refunded, the packet is closed and no further claims can be made.
Additional Terms
- Governing Agreements: This Program is subject to these Terms, the Coinbase User Agreement, and the Base Account and Base App Terms of Service.
- Privacy: Your data will be processed per the Coinbase Global Privacy Policy and the Base Account and Base App Privacy Policy.
- Eligibility: You must be 18+. The Program is not available in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Dominican Republic, or any sanctioned OFAC countries.
- Gas Fees: Users are responsible for all on-chain transaction costs (ETH gas fees) for creating, claiming, or initiating a refund.
